This is a book of drawings and stories about such ocean pioneers. Alongside the realistic illustrations, there are sailing plans and ship measurements. Moreover, every chapter has a globe clearly showing the sailing route taken by each pioneer.

The book is also suitable for language teachers starting out in M(aritime) E(nglish), particularly in technical maritime training, who are not engineers or mechanics, but who have to deal with difficult nautical-technical terms and concepts.

In this book, the concept of stability is defined and visualised in a way that makes it accessible to everyone. Some topics are dealt with in detail, but they are still easy to understand, even without prior knowledge of the subject.
