It covers crowd management, safety training, crisis management and human behaviour, passenger safety, cargo safety and hull integrity. Training developed in line with these criteria will cover:

  • Crowd management
  • safety training requirements for personnel providing direct service to passengers in passenger spaces
  • crisis management and human behaviour
  • passenger safety, cargo safety and hull integrity for RoRo passenger ships.

The specifications described in this document have been developed by the Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) in conjunction with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and satisfy MCA requirements for approved training.
